Course Overview
Our experienced trainer provides a thorough introduction to the IEC 61850 standard. In alternating theoretical and hands-on sessions the main aspects of the standard are explained. You will become familiar with the implementation of IEC 61850 by working with IEDs from different manufacturers.
Course Objective
- Design and analyze IEC 61850 based communication systems
- Use the client/server, GOOSE and sampled values services for power utility automation
- Configure the communication according to the IEC 61850-6 standard
- Perform commissioning and functional testing of IEC 61850 based IEDs and systems
