Course Overview
This short training course is for workers in hazardous waste and emergency response needing to satisfy their 24-hour training safety requirement. Employees are required by Occupational Safety And Health standards to receive proper safety training before starting work on an uncontrolled hazardous waste job site.
Course Objective
- Understand the purpose of OSHA and its role in regulating occupational safety
- Identify hazardous materials existent in the workplace and the possible methods, symptoms and preventative measures of exposure
- Familiarize yourself with materials, compounds and mixtures that may present flammable, explosive, chemical or radiological hazards
