Course Overview

This course is designed to deliver expert instruction on how to successfully plan and execute Hazards Analysis studies efficiently and effectively

The aim of this course is to provide the participants with the knowledge and group leadership skills to lead teams in effective Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) studies and HAZOP studies.

Course Objective

Upon the successful completion of this course, par­ticipants will:

  • Gain an understanding of the concepts of PHA and of the major techniques for hazard identi­fication and when each should be used.
  • Gain an understanding of the responsibilities involved in PHA leadership and training in the skills necessary for leading PHA studies.
  • To be familiar with HAZOP Techniques
  • To act as a Team Leader of a HAZOP Team.
  • To be able to carry out HAZOP Studies.•
  • Gain knowledge to describe the need for change and change management as well as effective methods for dealing with changes.
