This program is designed to provide employees who must work in or around substations with a comprehensive understanding of the operation, equipment, and procedures associated with substations. The course will consist of a discussion of general safety processes and procedures to be followed when entering substations.

Further study will cover the areas of: substation protective relays, switching operation and procedures, substation switchyards, metering, substation batteries, and transformers.
